Week 1: Foundations and Practical Online Teaching Skills

🔹 Day 2: Learning Management Systems (LMS) Basics

  • What is an LMS?
  • Overview of the company’s LMS platform
  • Creating courses, assignments, and quizzes

Create a basic course shell in LMS.

🔹 Day 3: Online Platforms for Live Teaching

  • Using Zoom, Google Meet, MS Teams for live classes
  • Managing live sessions: tools like breakout rooms, polls, chat moderation

Host a sample live class.

  • Setting clear expectations and online behavior norms
  • Engaging students virtually: cold-calling, polls, breakout activities
  • Handling common technical disruptions

  • Designing attractive learning materials (Canva, Google Slides)
  • Recording lessons using Loom/OBS Studio

Create a 5-slide mini-lesson and record a short video.

  • Designing meaningful quizzes and assignments
  • Best practices for giving online feedback
  • How to detect plagiarism and maintain academic honesty

Create a short quiz and assignment using LMS tools.

Week 2: Advanced Skills, AI Tools, and Performance Tracking

  • Promoting collaboration (group work, projects online)
  • Using storytelling and gamification in lessons

Plan a 30-minute interactive lesson with storytelling elements.

  • Using AI to plan lessons (ChatGPT, MagicSchool.ai)
  • Creating quizzes with Quillionz
  • Grammar and communication assistance (Grammarly)
  • Video creation using Synthesia basics

  • Attendance, engagement tracking through LMS
  • Grading best practices: rubrics and quick feedback loops
  • Identifying students who are at risk early

🔹 Day 10: Student Performance Analysis and Reporting

  • Data points to track (quiz scores, assignments, participation)
  • Analyzing trends: who needs help, who excels
  • Creating reports for internal and parent communications

  • Deliver a 15-minute mock class using LMS + Live platform
  • Peer and Trainer feedback
  • Course wrap-up and final clarifications
